The market value of the same will be around 2.0 Lakhs for this cause.

On Saturday March 13th 2021, SGT College of Pharmacy, GT University, organized 2" National Conference on Pharmacy Practice on the theme "Challenges in prevention of MicrobialResistance" for the B. Pharm., M. Pharm., Pharm D., Diploma in Pharmacy and Ph.D. Students including professionals from Industry, Research and Academics from all over the country. The conference was sponsored by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (Department of Science & Technology, Government of India) in association with Indian Pharmacy Graduates' Association (IPGA). The concept behind organizing the "2nd National Conference on Pharmacy Practice" has brought together the professionals from Hospital Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacy, Industry, Research, Academics, Regulatory and other sectors of Pharmacy profession on a common platform to accomplish the objectives of challenges in prevention of microbial resistance, promotion of safe use of antimicrobial agents, spreading awareness to reduce unnecessary use of anti­ microbial and to provide a common platform to disseminate knowledge on various causes of AMR among healthcare professionals. Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Bhalla, Dean, SGT College of Pharmacy in his welcome address thanked all the dignitaries for sparing their valuable time to make this event a grand success. SGT University officials, Prof. Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Sharif Ahmed, in his address stressed on the integrated research in this field. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar thanked all dignitaries and updated participants on the ancient history of evolution and using these type of medicines. University officials felicitated all the invitees and also welcomed the dignitaries and students. The event was started by auspicious lamp lighting by dignitaries to mark the commencement of conference. SGT University duly acknowledge Mr Sanjay Arora, CMD, Gentech Healthcare Private Limited for sponsoring hand sanitizer to all the dignitaries and delegates. Mr. Atul Nasa, Deputy Drug Controller, Head of Office cum Licensing Authority, Drugs Control Office, President, IPGA, Vice President -AIDCOC, Executive Member-PC!) from Delhi State Drugs Control Department, NCT Delhi graced the occasion as Chief Guest of the event. Mr. Atul Nasa, in his speech stressed upon the theme of the conference highlighting challenges we are facing today in the phase of Pandemic due to a tiny virus COVID-19. In his lucid talk he quoted many examples of responsible use of medicines and the role of Pharmacists. He in his talk conveyed that today 50% of the population is suffering from microbial resistance as per the report of WHO and we the pharmacist should take care about the precautionary measures so that "There should not be rise in Anti - microbial resistance". Prof. (Dr.) N. P. Singh, Dean Research, Faculty of Medical Health Sciences of SGT University delivered the Keynote address on the theme "Challenges in Prevention of Microbial Resistance". In his talk he insisted that self­ medication being the biggest problem behind the probable cause in increasing microbial resistance, which should be avoided. Dr. Singh also insisted that such activities are very necessary and important in today's context for making students aware about the current expectations of community from the Pharmacists. The conference was graced by renowned speakers like, and Prof. (Dr.) Raj Shirumalla, Director Research, SGT College of Pharmacy, used the platform to release the e­ abstract book virtually on "Challenges in Prevention of Microbial Resistance", sponsored by DST-SERB and IPGA. Seventy abstract was submitted out of which 32 abstract for posters and presentation were accepted. Prof. (Dr.) V. Samuel Raj, Dean Academics from SRM University, highlighted about the possible causes of microbial resistance. In his talk he conveyed a note that "The more we use antibiotic, the more we lose them". If the scenario continues it is predicted that AMR will kill more people than anyother ailments. So as to avoid it we need to tackle it carefully. Prof. (Dr.) Anita Kotwani, HOD, V B Patel Chest Institute, NewDelhi, delivered lecture on Pharmaceutical effluent: A critical link in the interconnected ecosystem promoting antimicrobial resistance. In her talk she stressed on need for the global action plan on AMR and focus to be made on making antibiotic manufacturing process more environmentally sustainable. She ended her talk with conclusive note that a holistic approach with combined efforts of all is necessary to get a grip on AMR. Prof. (Dr.) Sangeeta Sharma, Head of the Department, Neuropsychopharmacology from Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IBHAS), New Delhi, in her talk discussed on Awareness, Behaviour change and education for AMR. Dr. Sharma in her concluding talk said that it is notpossible to completely stop AMR as it is natural phenomenon of microbial adaptation. She also talked about development and spread of AMR and also on nine common areas for improving antibiotic use. Dr Sharma has undertaken many initiatives for Delhi Government in this areas. Dr. Harvinder Popli, HOD from Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), New Delhi, presented on the topic- Responsible use of antibiotics: Industry perspective. She also discussed on challenges of AMR in India and also talked about India being referred to as AMR world capital of the globe and why India need to stress on measures tocurb AMR. Mr Pawan Kumar Jaggi, Ex-HOO, Drug Control Department, NCT Delhi, Dr Raj Shirumalla, Director Research, SGTU, Dr Jeyabalan G, Director, Alwar Pharmacy College, Dr Sushma Chaturvedi, Professor, SGTU, Prof (Dr.) Arun Garg, Dean Pharmacy, NIMS University, Rajasthan, Dr Manish Kumar Gupta, Professor, SGTU, Dr Manish Pal Singh, Professor, Anand Pharmacy College, Agra, , Dr Vijay Sharma, Professor, SGTU chaired the respective plenary scientific sessions. After lunch there was a panel discussion on the said theme. The panel comprised of the Moderator Prof. (Dr.) Manisha Khandait, HOD, Microbiology, SGT University, Haryana along with experts namely Prof (Dr.) Arun Garg, Dean Pharmacy, NIMS University, Rajasthan, Mr. Manmohan Taneja, Assistant State Drug Controller, FDA, Haryana, Dr. Ekta Kapoor, Scientist F, DST, New Delhi and Mr. Kalhan Bazaz, Editor, The Indian Pharmacist, New Delhi. The panel discussion deliberated on many critical parameters in Amr including Schedule Hl, Ecosystem, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Community perspective, current research scenario, and role of Pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. In the end the winners of the e-poster presentation competition were announced and were felicitated by the jury and faculty members of SGTCOP. The winner of the poster presentation competition was Anjali Goel (M.Pharm, Pharmaceutics, (First Prize), Deepika (B.Pharm Hird Year, (Second Prize)), Ayush (M.Pharm, Pharmaceutics & Deepak (B.Pharm 1st year) (Third Prize)), Archa Kodoth (Pharm D, Consolation prize)). All the evaluators were felicitated by dignitaries present. In the end, Dr Vijay Bhalla, convener of the conference and Dr Sonal Setya organizing secretary thanked the guests and the entire team of SGT College of Pharmacy (including Management, Faculty members, Staff members and student volunteers) for making the event successful. The conference concluded with the keynote "Scientific knowledge and spiritual wisdom are like two streams. If we merge these two streams, we will find that we are able to create a mighty river, whose water can remove suffering and facilitate the holistic growth of society". Cash reward of Rs 5000 was given by Pallavi Memorial Trust, Hyderabad on 12th December 2020. 2. Felicitations of Women Pharmacist on 8th March 2021by Telangana Branch . Woman #khaki, a symbol of humanity: #DGP Gautam Sawang presented the DGP's Commendation Disc Award and a Certicate of Appreciation to Women Sub-Inspector of Police K.#Sirisha of Kasi bugga Police Station for her exemplary service, professional excellence, display of #humanity & devotion to her duty. She has proved her #dedication to serving the people by going beyond her call of duty and carrying a corpse on her shoulders for 2 km to help perform his`last rites. Andhra Pradesh Police is proud of her as she stands as an #Inspiration to all. 3. Unanimously selection of Sri. Koteshwar Rao as South Zone Coordinator Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA) has elected Sri. Koteshwar Rao, Former Vigilance Drugs Inspector as South Zone Coordinator unanimously on 4th April 2021 during the Central Executive Council virtual meeting of IPGA. The election was conducted through web meeting where presidents and secretaries ofall the states of the association have attended the meeting conducted by central Office New Delhi on 4 April 2021. On this occasion the contribution of Mr. Koteshwar Rao in the quick establishment of state branches of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana sectors was greatly applauded by Central committee President Dr. Atul Nasa and secretary Dr Arun Garg and was congratulated by rest of the committee members. Mr.Rao is now the president of Telangana state IPGA, he is also the chairman for Pallavi Memorial Trust, Lions Club of Hasanparthi member, and he is also active in various social service activities. He was also the Founder secretary for Telangana Drugs Control officers Association and made major contributions through the association apart from being organiser of several cultural activities through Ghantasala Sangeetha kalasala. On this occasion he wasimmensely congratulated by members of various states.

A webinar has been arranged with KPGA & IPA on 23rd at 730 PM on Regulatory Aspects, Manufacturing & Quality of IVD in India. 150 pharmacists including students joined in the progtamme. It was a well-attended programme with lots of interactions. DC Kerala, Mr. PM Jayan chaired the webinar.
