Report on Campaign conducted b} IPGA Bengal Brancand IPGA- SF Bengal Branch in association with GNIPST College Chapter on the occasion of National Pharmacy U‘eek, 2021.IPGA and IPGA-SF Bengal Branch in association with GNIPSTCollege Chapter conducted a silent rally on 26th November, 2021 on the occasion of National Pharmacy Week 2021 (21st- 28th November) in GNIPST College Campus, Panihati, West Bengal. All the pharmac} students of GNIPST including the IPGA-SF members and non- IPGA-SF members had joined the rally to pav tribute to the pharmacy profession and all the registered and budding pharmacists. The Directors and the Principal of GNIPST, who are also advisory members of IPGA Bengal Branch had joined the campaign along with the Assistant Professors of GNIPST. It was a mask distribution and social awareness programme that day as well where the Executive Committee cif the IPCrA Student Forum had arranged masks which was distributed among the vendors and local people near Sodepur Station. They also distributed leaflets spreading social awareness about Antibiotic local peoples. The programwas grand success.

Report on 33rd Annual Conference of Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association (IPGA) On Saturday, August 17th 2019 at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata, West Bengal

Theme: ‘’Pharma Techies- Need Transformation’’ The 33rd Annual Conference of IPGA was organized by west Bengal state Branch at Kolkata, the city of joy. The 33rd Annual Conference of IPGA was inaugurated on 17.08.2019 at state of the art, internationally designed, Bishwa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata, West Bengal by Chief Guest Shri B R Sikri, Chairman, AB Merkentile group of companies, A renowned entrepreneur and the Guest of honours ShriTaranjit Singh (Chief Patron), a promoter of Education &ShriAtulNasa, President IPGA & Controlling Authority, Drugs Control Department, NCT Delhi, in West Bengal by Lighting the auspicious Lamp. The conference was aimed to meet the challenges in Pharmacy Education and the students trained with attributes that include critical thinking, communication skills, digital adaption & global understanding. The initial discussion of conference was to make future graduate Pharmacists with enhanced Pharmacy Practice Skills and knowledge. The conference was attended by more than 600 delegates from all parts of the country. In their welcome address the Organizing Secretary of 33rd Annual Conference of IPGA ShriTapan Kumar Chaudhuri, and President IPGA West Bengal State Branch, ShriGoutumSen felicitated all the dignitaries on the dais & off the dais and gave detailed note on the conference. ShriAtul Kumar Nasa, President IPGA in his Address stressed upon the theme of the conference. In his motivational words he requested students to come forward and take the lead by joining IPGA Student Forum, who is performing many professional nationwide activities under the banner of IPGA. Dr Vijay Bhalla, Treasurer IPGA, Principal, SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University, Gurgaon, Haryana presented the detailed secretary report on behalf of Dr.ArunGarg, General Secretary, IPGA, Professor & Dean, School of Medical & Allied Sciences, K R Mangalam University, Gurugram, Haryana. On behalf of IPGA, Dr. Vijay Bhalla announced the names of the recipient of various awards. Following life members of IPGA were presented with prestigious award by handing over A certificate, A Citation and A memento by IPGA and another memento by IPGA Bengal State Branch: IPGA Fellowship Awards Mr.Tapan Kr. He compared Academicians as Brahma, Industrialists as Vishnu and youth force (students) as Mahesh as they are innovators and destroys the outdated ideas with novel techniques. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr Tapan Kumar Chaudhuri, Secretary, IPGA West Bengal State Branch. The inaugural session gets over by reciting National Anthem in honour of our country. The scientific program begin by the lecture by: 1. Shri P P Sharma, Ex- Deputy Drug Controller & Ex Vice President, PCI, on the topic ‘’Pharmacy Practice-Opportunities and Challenges’’ 2. Mr. P.K. Jaggi, Chief Pharmacy Executive, Delhi State Cancer Institute; on the topic ‘’Safe disposal of Unused and expired Medicines’’ 3. Dr AjmeerRamkishan, Deputy Drug Controller, CDSCO, on the topic ‘’ Blood transfusion-regulations’’ 4. Mr AbhijitGhosh, Assistant Drug Controller, on the topic ‘’ Medical Devices – Regulations’’ 5. Poster presentation and evaluation by subject experts was carried out in a meticulous manner. 6. Ms PrabhleenPahwa and Ms R Mathangi presented the report on various activities conducted by IPGA Student Forum in the past one year and plan of action for the next calendar year. They motivated students to join IPGA SF to bring positive perception of profession of pharmacy. The program was concluded with the cultural evening filled with fantastic performance by a bollywood singer and valedictory function with distribution of certificates to the participants. In the end, Mr Tapan& Mr Goutam thanked the guests and the entire members of Local Organizing Committee (including management, faculty members, staff members and student volunteers) for making the event successful.
